This is UsDanny Donovan
Before I became a mom, I was in sales and marketing for a publicly held medical aesthetics company. I had to convince physicians that I could help increase their revenue if they invested and worked with me as their partner. I needed to get dressed up , do in-services with Drs , meet CRUSH sales goals , communicate scientific-y things , and assist medical practices in marketing while I sold my products to their patients.
High reward and high achievement,
Extreme high pressure and extreme high stress.
Miscarriages, needles , ultrasounds, monitoring, and D&Cs.
I continued working for one year while we were on our fertility journey. We were NOT in a financial position to shrink to a one income household, but Andy and I knew that the extreme stress was not helping our chances of starting a family.
So . . . I exited the work force and started to work . . . on me.
Acupuncture, yoga, quiet and calm.
It was then another full year of infertility until we finally became pregnant with our baby girl in 2010.
I cherished every day of extreme nausea and discomfort bc I had my eye on the prize . . . . . A miracle Baby . . .
And then she was born.
And then I had postpartum depression and anxiety.
And then she was colicky, had reflux and food sensitivities to my milk – yet I still nursed her for over 2 years (yes, 2 years!)
And then she, like, never slept . . . like, everrrrrr!
And then I became unbalanced bc I gave myself nothing and I gave her everything and I completely lost who I was.
And then we moved across the country from Los Angeles to Boca.
And then I had debilitating panic attacks.
And then I spent 3 years running from professional to professional attempting to diagnose sensory and learning challenges.
And then I ran around taking her to therapies.
And then I ran around taking myself to therapy (shout out to my therapist and friends!)
And now . . . I have gratitude for it all.
We ( I ) are settled.
There were a ton of “this too shall pass” affirmations
And now it has . . . it has mostly all passed.
Recently my brain got restless. I have always dreamt of building a business on my own.
I want to show my daughter the other side of me. I want to show her I can be not only her mommy, but also a business owner . . . in a messy bun getting done .
She and Andy are my inspiration. Intention is everything. This business comes from a place of love and positivity , joy , contentment , satisfaction ,optimism , and gratitude.
All of life’s ups and downs / highs and lows happened exactly as they were supposed to- bringing me to this exact time and place where I’m excited, proud and ready to finally launch my own biz! Thank you for trusting me to be part of your milestones, celebrations , holidays…and everything In.B.Tween
